Oh dear, I think we have a black-hat SEO in our community! The link-building process for any website should be based on a targeted campaign that is carried out manually. Yes, you can automate link-building processes by purchasing some ‘dodgy’ software online that automatically submits your website to 5,000 directories, 100 article directories, 500 social bookmarking, and produces 500 blog comments. However, these links are so low value that they are almost worthless in today’s SEO marketplace and websites that are still carrying out these activities are throwing money away.
Link-building is about getting high quality, contextually relevant external links to targeted pages on your website. Unfortunately this process is resource-heavy, however, the results will be more rewarding as gaining ‘one’ high-quality external link is more powerful than those 6,000 low quality automated links. If you do choice to continue with an automated solution, you are just counting the days until your website drops down the rankings (for good).
