To get your website indexed in Google can take minutes or even a few weeks depending on the methods that you utilise. I’ve just had a new client to Bough Digital who had been using another SEO supplier and within three months they were still not indexed in Google. Apparently, the previous SEO supplier was stating that this was normal behaviour as it was a new website. Was this information correct? No.
As with most things, the quality of work that you put into the process will maximise your returns. In the above example, the previous SEO supplier had not created a sitemap.xml file, was blocking the whole website in robots.txt file, and they had not achieved one external link pointing to the new domain. Therefore, there are methods that are well documented by Google to increase the speed of indexing, however, ultimately it is down to the mighty Google on how quickly this process will take. Theoretically with a high-quality SEO company it should not take longer than 24 hours.
