What is a C-class IP and why should I care?

You probably already know that your IP address is your ‘online address.’ A C-class block of IP addresses are ones that are next to each other, in terms of the numbers in the address itself. In the context of SEO, links that come from the same IP address have barely any value, while those from the same block aren’t much better. Links from different C-class IP addresses are the most valuable, because they indicate a genuine backlink rather than potential spam or a deliberate attempt to manipulate the search results.

If Google find you have numerous domains with the same or similar IP address, or in the same C-class block, and they all link to each other, you’ll be removed from the search engine very quickly indeed.
