If you want to show search engine spiders that you’re building links for traffic and not to manipulate the search results, you can use the “nofollow” tag within your links.
There are two types of “nofollow,” a meta tag which tells search spiders not to follow any links on a page:
And the link tag that tells search spiders not to count the link within search algorithms:
Your link portfolio should feature a range of “dofollow” and “nofollow” links. Be aware that for a link to be “dofollow,” you don’t need to do anything, as all links are automatically “dofollow” when you insert them into text.
