Three-way linking, or a three-way link exchange, is the process of linking three sites together for the process of boosting the search engines of one, two, or all three.
In three-way linking, site A would link to site B, which would link to site C, which would then link back to site A, completing the cycle.
While some SEO agencies and webmasters believe three-way linking is a better way to build links than by reciprocal link building, it is ultimately still a technique that Google will see as being used to manipulate the search results. Some website owners even go so far as to buy multiple domains and then create link exchanges between all of their sites in order to try and boost their search visibility.
